On day 3 we get to wander through the Snowdonia National park. Along the way we stop at great grandfather’s Church at Llangar Old Parish Church, on to the site for the TV series “The Prisoner” at Portmeirion, and head back to Chester via Caernarfon Castle and Conwy. Added stop will be in the cemetery at Saint Asaph as another ancestor is memorialized there.
First planned stop at the Llangar Old Parish Church where great grandfather was Rector. He later immigrated to Canada and died in Ontario.
Then on through the Snowdonia National park
To Portmeirion where “The Prisoner” was filmed in the 1960’s.
Our return trip will take us past Caernarfon Castle, and then Conwy
